About L. Greg Voisen
Hello! I’m Greg Voisen, creator of Inside Personal Growth and host of the Inside Personal Growth podcast. Here’s a little bit of information about me and why I set about creating Inside Personal Growth.
I have always been passionate about what makes people tick. My vocation for many years involved the marketing of financial services products and services through an organization I founded called eLuminate Financial Services. My primary role was client development and the overseeing of several specialty departments focused on money management, pension, estate tax planning and life insurance.
Even though eLuminate Financial Services was my source of personal financial security, I was always more curious in figuring out how I could help people transform their thinking about their lives and their money by moving them to a more secure place both emotionally and spiritually. My passion was never really financial services; it was understanding people and helping them feel secure in their emotional decision associated with financial matters, which frequently required considerable personal coaching.
I have always been passionate about what makes people tick.
In 2003 I decided to sell my practice and make a career shift after 25 years. I went back to school and received an M.A. in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. During this time I also engaged in business consulting and coaching as a way to generate additional revenue, as well as started a software venture with my oldest son Sean, called Digital Seed.
Still, several circumstances led me to realize that this was not my true calling, and while on a spiritual retreat I was gifted with an idea around helping and serving people who had been affected with critical illnesses. I founded Compassionate Communications in late 2006, and teamed up with Hallmark Greeting Cards to help in the development of the Compassionate Care Program. In April of 2009 we received our non-profit status and I am still developing and securing the future of this organization.
I have always had a passion for personal growth and mastery. Like many of you I continually strive to improve my own life — spiritually, emotionally and physically. I could be considered a personal growth junkie, but as I see it, it is better to be a personal growth junkie than to get involved in other kinds of addictions.
What I soon realized was that there was a thirst for this material …
I started interviewing and posting podcasts in August of 2007 as a hobby. What I soon realized was that there was a thirst for this material, and my interviews became more frequent and with some wonderful authors. In March of 2009 our team decided to expand my podcast blog into a feature rich resource similar to a “Wikipedia” for personal growth, mastery, wellness and spirituality. I continue to work daily on interviews with some of the greatest authors, speakers and thinkers in the field of personal growth, and hope to develop Inside Personal Growth into the best resource for our faithful readers and listeners.
I hope you enjoy our site!
