Writer, cartoonist and musician, Elizabeth Wagele, began her artistic life as a musician at the age of four by picking out classical music on the piano
and teaching herself to play the music she heard. She eventually studied music composition at the University of California, Berkeley.

Drawing her dreams and an interest in personality typology, both the MBTI system and the Enneagram—a study of nine types of people, led her to her first book in
partnership with Renee Baron: The Enneagram Made Easy. They followed this with Are You My Type, Am I Yours?

Having raised four children, Elizabeth continued her writing with The Enneagram of Parenting. Next came a CD, The Beethoven Enneagram, where she plays parts
of Beethoven sonatas and talks about how they describe his and others’ personality traits. Elizabeth wrote The Happy Introvert to show introverts they aren’t alone
and to show extraverts that introverts can be especially interesting and content; they just may be quiet and take a while to get to know. Finding the Birthday Cake
is a small, charming book that uses a story about animals to teach the Enneagram to children. The Career Within, written with Ingrid Stabb, uses personality as the basis
for building and managing one’s career.

All of Elizabeth’s books include a generous amount of her drawings and cartoons to help explain the material and to add humor.

Elizabeth lives in Berkeley, California with her husband, Gus, in a brown-shingled house that went through the 1906 earthquake. They have eight grandchildren and enjoy gardening, especially attracting birds and butterflies.

Elizabeth also enjoys playing the piano for her own enjoyment and occasionally at parties.
